Fence refers to the structure that is used to enclose a particular area. Security of people uses different types of fences for various purposes (Hurwith, Np). Among the main uses of fences is the security of the property and seclusion of the areas from unwanted trespasses an interference of the properties.

Dead fences are made of materials like wood, metal, vinyl and plastic. They include wooden, wire-mesh, barbed wires, PVC, chain links, and electric fences (Hurwith, Np). The preferences among the fences are due to the level of security needed, the purchasing power of the person and the value of the properties protected. For instance metallic fences are much expensive as compare to the other types but they are very efficient and ensure high levels of security. Moreover, the metallic and wired fences are good conductors may be connected to the electricity to elevate the security (Hurwith, Np). The wooden and live fences are cheaper to establish but they are easily destroyed and affected by the weather factors.
Builders have different motives while selecting the fences to use under different circumstances. However, the main aim and satisfaction of the user is the priority while determining the fence type to use. Wise and informed decision would be critical on the weather, cost of materials, weather conditions and the aesthetic value of the place while selecting the fences.
